Biography of F. Edward BacheBache, Francis Edward. Pupil of Alfred Mellon (violin) and James Stimpson (organ); studied in London, 1849 with Sir Sterndale Bennett; in Leipzig with Moritz Hauptmann and Plaidy, 1853-55; in Dresden, 1854 with Dr Johann Schneider (organ); pupil of Franz Liszt. Organist of All Saints’, Gordon Square, London. Pianist. Composed operas, a piano concerto, songs, &c. b. Edgbaston, Birmingham, England, Sep. 14th, 1833; d. there, Aug. 24th, 1858.
