Falla, Manuel de. Studied in Cadiz with Alejandro Odero (harmony) and Enrique Broca (harmony); at the Madrid Conservatory under Jose Tragó (piano) and Felipe Pedrell (composition); pupil of Dukas and Debussy. Composed operas, ballets, &c. b. Cadiz, Spain, Nov. 23rd, 1876; d. Alta Gracia, Argentina, Nov. 14th, 1946.
