Fowles, Albert Godwin. F.R.C.O. (1868). Organist of St. Thomas’, Portsmouth, 1861-1880; St. Bartholomew’s, Southsea, Portsmouth, 1881-86; Holy Trinity, Ryde, 1887-92; Christ Church, Plymouth, 1893-; of All Saints’, Wandsworth, London. Conducted the Portsmouth Borough Choral Society, c1875; Southsea Choral Society. Father of Bernard W. Fowles and Dr Leonard Nowell Fowles. bap. Newchurch (Isle-of-Wight), England, Mar. 8th, 1840; d. Leytonstone, Mar. 30th, 1906.
