Biography of Dr William ReaRea, Dr William. Pupil of J. Pittman and W. S. Bennett; studied in Leipzig with Ernst Friedrich E. Richter; in Prague with Dreyschock. Organist of Christ Church, Watney Street, London, 1843; St. Andrew’s, Undershaft, London; the Harmonic Union, 1853; St. Andrew’s, Stockwell, 1858; corporation organist, Newcastle, 1860; North Shields, 1864-78; of St. Hildas, South Shields. Founded the Polyhymnian Choir, 1856. Composed organ and piano music, anthems, songs, &c. b. London, England, Mar. 25th, 1827; d. Newcastle-on-Tyne, Mar. 8th, 1903.
