Spinney, Rev. Walter. Articled pupil of J. E. Richardson. Assistant organist of St. Edmund’s, Salisbury; Dudley Parish Church; Salisbury Cathedral; organist of Christ Church, Doncaster, 1880-87; All Saints’, Doncaster, 1888; Leamington Parish Church, 1888-94. Composed church music, organ pieces, &c. Son of Thomas Spinney; brother of Mattie Beesley, Eugene Spinney, Frank Spinney and Rev. T. Herbert Spinney. b. Sturminster Newton, England, Mar. 26th, 1853; d. Leamington Spa, June 21st, 1894.
