Conducted the Portsmouth Borough Choral Society, c1875; Southsea Choral Society. Brother of Margaret F. Fowles and Claude R. Fowles; uncle of Selfe Fowles; father of Bernard W. Fowles and Dr Leonard N. Fowles. bap. Newchurch (Isle-of-Wight), England, Mar. 8th, 1840; d. Leytonstone, Mar. 30th, 1906.
