Stewart, Arthur Charles Lestoc Hylton. M.A. (Cantab), Mus.B. (Cantab). Studied at Chester Cathedral under Dr Joseph C. Bridge; Magdalen College School, Oxford; Peterhouse College, Cambridge. Organ scholar at Peterhouse College, Cambridge, 1903-07; assistant organist of King’s College, Cambridge, 1906-07; organist and music master at Sedbergh School, 1907; organist of St. Martin’s, Scarborough, 1908-14; Blackburn Parish Church, 1914-16; Rochester Cathedral, 1916-30; Chester Cathedral, 1930-32; St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, 1932. Music master at Sedbergh School, 1907-08. Son of Rev. C. H. Hylton Stewart; brother of Bruce D. Hylton Stewart. b. Chester, England, Mar. 21st, 1884; d. Windsor, Nov. 14th, 1932.
