Biography of Oliver A. King

King, Oliver Arthur. Studied at the Leipzig Conservatory, under Ernst Friedrich E. Richter, Dr Karl Reinecke and Paul, 1874-77; pupil of Sir J. Barnby and W. H. Holmes (piano). Professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music, London, 1893. Composed cantatas, anthems, services, part-songs; orchestral, church and piano music; &c. b. London, England, 1855; d. there, Aug. 23rd, 1923.
