Organist of Christ Church, New York City, 1880-85; All Souls’ (Episcopal), New York City, 1889-90; Temple Emanu-El, New York City, 1898-1912; St. Thomas’, New York City, 1900-12; municipal organist, Portland, Maine, 1912-18, 1932-34. A founder of the American Guild of Organists. Moved to New York, U.S.A., 1874. b. St. Pancras, London, England, Oct. 2nd, 1870; d. North Conway, New Hampshire, U.S.A., May 12th, 1945.
