Biography of Dr James C. CulwickCulwick, Dr James Cooksey. Mus.D., (T.C.D., 1893), F.R.C.O. Articled pupil of Thomas Bedsmore. Assistant organist of Lichfield Cathedral, 1865-66; organist of St. Chad’s, Lichfield; in Parsonstown, Ireland, 1866; Bray, 1868; of St. Ann’s, Dublin, 1870-81; the Chapel Royal, Dublin, 1881-1909. Professor of piano and theory at Alexandra College, Dublin, Ireland. Composed choral music, anthems, services, orchestral, piano, and organ pieces, &c. Wrote about music. b.
