Biography of Franz LisztLiszt, Franz (Ferencz). Studied in Vienna, 1821-22, with Czerny and Salieri; pupil of Reicha and Paër. Court conductor in Weimar, 1849-59; president of the Hungarian Academy of Music, Pest, 1875. Composed symphonic poems, concertos, masses, oratorios, cantatas, songs, piano music, &c. b.
