Biography of Thomas M. MudieMudie, Thomas Molleson. Studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London, under Dr William Crotch (composition) and Cipriani Potter (piano), 1823-32. Organist in Gatton, near Reigate, 1834-44. Professor of piano at the Royal Academy of Music, London, 1832-44; taught in Edinburgh, Scotland, 1863-. Composed symphonies, choral and piano music, songs, &c. b. Westminster, London, England, Nov. 30th, 1809; d. Westminster, London, July 24th, 1876.
